About Founder

Sanjeewa Anuradha

International Arbiter | National Instructor - Member of the International Chess Federation since 2010

Mr. Sanjeewa Anuradha is one of Sri Lanka’s most experienced and respected chess coaches, with over 16 years of training experience. He has served as the head coach in several leading schools, including Bandaranayake College Gampaha, St. Anne’s College Kurunegala, Kuliyapitiya Central College, and Wickramashila National School Giriulla. He has successfully managed and coached the North Western Province teams at the 48th and 49th National Sports Festivals, and also captained the Sri Lankan team that secured 3rd place at the 2024 Asian Cities Chess Championship.

As an International Arbiter, he has officiated at numerous Asian, World, and Commonwealth events. Currently, he is the only International Arbiter from the North Western Province of Sri Lanka.

Coaching Achievement 

• Since 2008 – Trained over 50 National Youth District Champions

• 2008–2025 – Continuous top 3 finishes at North Western Province Schools Chess Championships

• 2010 – Asian Schools Chess Under 09 Girls Bronze Medal

• 2013 – 5th place at Asian Schools Chess Championship

• Represented Sri Lanka at Asian Schools Chess Championships (2010, 2013, 2019)

• Represented Sri Lanka at Commonwealth Chess Championships (2016, 2024)

• Produced multiple Best National School Players (2010, 2014, 2015, 2019)

• Produced National “B” Team representatives (2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2023)

• 2018 – National Youth Under 14 Runner-up

• 2024–2025 – Top 10 finishes in Schools Chess Under 09 Boys & Girls (Category A)

• 2024 – National Sports Festival Chess Men’s Champion

• 2024 – Asian Cities Chess Championship – Team 3rd Place

• 2025 – National Sports Festival Chess Men’s 3rd Place
