Discover Giriulla Chess Club
Giriulla Chess Club, founded in December 2019 and affiliated with the Kurunegala District Chess Association, is dedicated to promoting chess in the region. The club has produced talented players who have excelled at district, provincial, and national levels, and regularly compete in FIDE-rated and school tournaments.
Beyond competitions, the club serves as an academy offering structured training for beginners to advanced players under experienced coaches. With a focus on discipline, strategy, and creativity, it aims to build both champions and life skills such as patience and decision-making.
For us, chess is more than a game—it is a path to education, personal growth, and community building.
